Job Description: As a Freight Broker/Account Executive at BBK Logistics Inc., you will work as a problem solver, making quick decisions while managing and building your book of business. This is a commission based 1099 position.


Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and maintain truckload business throughout the USA  


Generate new business partners by researching leads, developing entrance strategies, and qualifying prospects 


Create and drive your own sales plan strategy that successfully meets monthly sales goals and initiatives 


Prepare quotes and contracts to prospective business partners and gain lucrative opportunities 


Review daily shipment plans; accept and ensure loads are covered by a carrier 


Input and Dispatch Loads 


Monitor shipments on-time performance; communicate updates to carriers, and customers 


Source and qualify carriers 


Daily/weekly performance reporting 


Execute negotiations with carriers through prospecting, cold calling, qualifying, and closing deals 


Direct communication with vendors to handle all transportation and delivery issues 


Strict attention to detail in logging calls and status changes 


Develop and manage your own portfolio of business 


Be able to make a sales pitch to people who have freight to ship.

Be honest and proactive in your communication to customers and carriers. 


Qualifications

  • College degree preferred in business, logistics transportation, supply chain management or marketing or equivalent experience. Will train the right person with sales experience.

2yrs + experience in outside business development.


Work ethic, a backbone for negotiating, and the ability to handle conflict.


Basic computer skills. 


We prefer prior sales experience, but we have plenty of successful reps without it.
