Donut Media Art Director


The Art Director position at Donut Media will be responsible for developing, creating, and maintaining a consistent look across all platforms & mediums that matches the wildly popular Donut brand (2M+ Youtube subscribers, 5M+ Facebook followers). This is a great opportunity for anyone who loves cars and has a strong command of graphic design. 


We’re looking for someone who is hungry and gets their hands dirty, able to both solve unique problems themselves and effectively delegate when necessary. Someone who wants the opportunity to work with a brand that has incredible social media presence and use that to build the brand further and help guide it’s look and feel. The Art Director will work closely with the Creative Director and be responsible for creating all outward facing brand imagery: including merchandise, apparel, thumbnails, promotional materials, decks, and still assets for videos.


This position requires a strong understanding of internet trends & car culture.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with Donut executive team to develop strong visual language

  • Communicate with all departments to maintain consistent look across mediums

  • Create designs for apparel & merchandise

  • Work with merchandise team to create promotional assets

  • Create effective video thumbnails, informed by data and psychology

  • Work with Instagram editor to develop and maintain strong visual style

  • Create still assets for videos & animations

  • Work with sales team to create compelling sales material


Qualities:

  • Extensive knowledge of both car culture and internet culture

  • Strong grasp of graphic design

  • Understanding of psychological triggers on social media

  • Eagerness to learn & keep up with quickly changing trends

  • Strong management ability, can build & manage team of designers in the future

  • Attention to detail


Skills:

  • Photoshop

  • Illustrator

  • Lightroom

  • Photography

  • After Effects (Motion graphics experience preferred)

  • Premiere (Understanding of video editing preferred)



Type: Full Time

Pay: Dependent on experience
