Our flagship software product, Athlos Special Education Logs, is expanding rapidly, and we are looking for an Engineering Intern to join our growing team. As an engineering intern at Athlos, you will have the opportunity to expand and apply your technical knowledge under the mentorship of other engineers. You will work as part of a talented team to deliver a cutting-edge software product and engage in a wide range of projects and tasks. You’ll find creative, scalable solutions for problems, troubleshoot issues and bugs, research and implement best practices, help design and build new software features, and more.
If you are a creative, hard-working self-starter with a drive to see your ideas and strategies yield results, this is the job for you. This role has the potential to transition into a full-time position upon completion of degree.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in researching and implementing best practices for mobile application and mobile API development
Assist in designing and coding software features, units, and modules that meet product specifications and development schedules
Assist in design, implementation, and maintenance of custom ETL processes
Troubleshoot problems and implement solutions for software operating systems and application
Assist in testing new features and work with the team to resolve bugs prior to release
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Current student pursuing a four-year degree in Computer Science, Math, or related; Graduation date in Spring 2022 preferred, but not required
Programming experience in C#, C++, Java or equivalent object-oriented programming language
Experience with SQL, as well as using SQL-based queries from within programming languages
Experience with Xamarin mobile application development (preferred)
Experience with Selenium web scraping (preferred)
Experience with ASP.NET MVC Framework (preferred)
Familiarity with Azure or other PaaS (preferred)
Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
Familiarity with Agile Development methodologies
A genuine interest in education and technology
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to communicate complex ideas and processes, simply and concisely
Strong collaboration skills, attention to detail and complex problem solving
